Claude Skills for Interior Designers

Ready-to-install Claude Skills for interior designers: what each does, how it was tested and how to install it.

Client Brief to FF&E Schedule Draft turns a room brief into a draft FF&E schedule for interior designers. Paste the room dimensions, requested items, users and pets, likes and dislikes, budget, install date, and existing pieces. The draft covers every requested item with quantity and size logic, applies constraints, and includes budget allowances, lead-time checks, and specifications to verify.

The Interior designers hub and our prompt library for interior designers provide other starting points. Here, the task is taking a client’s room requirements and drafting the FF&E schedule. The output is a draft that the responsible designer checks.

To install in Claude Code, download the ZIP, unpack it into ~/.claude/skills/ (or .claude/skills/ inside your project), and restart Claude Code. The skill loads when your request matches its description. Without a terminal, open a Claude Project, go to Project instructions, paste the SKILL.md text, and save. Every chat in that project follows those instructions.

The listed tests used Claude Opus 5.5 and Claude Sonnet 5 on 2026-10-19, and Claude Fable 5.1 on 2026-10-20. Each model ran the skill three times on a fictional input written with its rubric before the skill existed. A model from another family, gpt-6-astra, graded every run. See the methodology for the testing setup.

For US practice, our country research verified no official AI-specific source for interior designers. Fire and flammability codes for furnishings depend on project type and jurisdiction; the designer confirms them. Contract and procurement terms are the studio’s. UK and Australian practitioners can use the skill, but should check their own rules.

The skills are free to use, adapt, and share, including commercially, under CC BY 4.0 with attribution.
