Claude Skills for Event Planners

Ready-to-install Claude Skills for event planners: what each does, how it was tested and how to install it.

The Vendor RFP Builder for Events drafts vendor requests for proposal for catering, AV or rentals. It is for event planners working from an event brief: paste the client, date, venue, headcount, services, constraints and deadlines. The resulting RFP includes exact requirements, an itemized pricing format, deadlines, evaluation criteria and TBDs. You can also browse resources for event planners and our prompt library for event planners.

To install it in Claude Code, download the ZIP, unpack it into ~/.claude/skills/ (or .claude/skills/ inside your project) and restart Claude Code. The skill loads when your request matches its description. Without a terminal, open a Claude Project, go to Project instructions, paste the SKILL.md text and save. Every chat in that project follows those instructions.

The models listed on this page were tested on these dates: Claude Opus 5.5 and Claude Sonnet 5 on October 19, 2026, and Claude Fable 5.1 on October 20, 2026. Each model ran the skill three times on a fictional input written with its rubric before the skill existed. A model from another family, gpt-6-astra, graded every run. See the methodology for the testing setup.

For US practice, our country research found no verified official AI-specific source for event planners. Permits, alcohol service, food-safety and venue rules are local; the planner confirms them with the venue and the local authority. Contract terms need the client’s or agency’s legal review. Each RFP is a draft that the responsible event planner checks before sending it to a vendor.
